A BRAND NEW 1.8-LITRE TURBO ENGINE

PUSHING THE BOUNDARIES

The Renault Mégane R.S. comes with a version of the 1.8-litre direct injection turbo engine. With a power output of 300hp at 6,000rpm, it delivers a peak torque of 420Nm on EDC models and 400Nm on manual gearboxes – one of the best torque ratings in its category. This powerful engine delivers increased driving pleasure and comfort to every driver.

SPORTY BUT RELIABLE

With its many driving aids, the new Renault Mégane R.S. matches sporting performance with safety. A head-up display lets you keep your attention on the road, while overspeed warning and emergency braking assistance help you out when needed. Parking, adaptative cruise control and lane departure warnings, with sensors on either side of the front and rear bumpers, will also help keep you aware of other road users.

KNOWLEDGE IS POWER

Every detail of the Mégane R.S. performance can be seen in real-time thanks to the optional R.S. Monitor that connects to some 40 sensors around the car. Displayed on the EASY-LINK touchscreen, these put everything from engine torque to steering angle or acceleration at your fingertips. The 10” full-colour TFT cluster and Renault EASY-LINK multimedia system – matched with a new BOSE® sound system – will also help keep your attention on the road.

LIGHT UP THE ROAD

The R.S. Vision lights have a striking chequered flag design but bring more than good looks to the Mégane's R.S. front end with its handsome F1-style blade. The nine powerful multi-faceted LEDs on each cluster light up the road far ahead, whether on dipped or full beam, but also move when cornering for added illumination and confidence. Adding to the focus on safety, they also incorporate sidelights and fog lights.

A WORLD OF SOUND

Engineers from Bose® partnered with Renault sound engineers to create a new much-improved optional sound system to provide precise, clear and balanced sound. Seven high-performance speakers turn the cockpit into your own personal concert hall, including a Bose® amplifier and subwoofer, a high central speaker, two boomer speakers at the front and two boomer speakers at the back with four tweeters. Dial in your music from Android Auto or Apple CarPlay and you'll hear every high note clearly, with no distortion on even the deepest of bass tones.
